Do partridge take shelter during rain?

how likely would i see a partridge crossing or near the road while it is lightly raining?

just as likely as any other time. unless it's a downpour, these hardy animals will be living life as usual.

Absolutely, they take refuge where the rain can't wet them too much. All birds hid during a rain, pretty all animals!
