Peas are a cool-weather vegetable. Here in southeastern Arizona I have been growing my snow peas in partial shade in hanging pots and they have been doing very well!  They are also growing nicely in the shade of several pole beans.  They still get afternoon sun, but the shade cools them off in the heat of the day.

Peas will grow in shade as they prefer cool temps.  It would help if they could get some sun as all plants need some amount of sun.

They need sun but will grow well with a little shade.

they do ok in the shade but would do just as well in the sun =) i have some growing myself =)
