Question:

Do pegions Leave their Eggs?

My pegions gave eggs and they sit on them regularly 3 weeks but still the eggs are not Hatched and they left them and started mating again and they are not going near their eggs ..

What should be the problem or this one is the actuall habit?

If the do not care about their eggs any futher can i place these eggs under other Pegions Will they Hatch them ?

PLzzzzzzzzzz help !!!!!!!

  1. the eggs may not be fertilized. some birds just lay eggs for no reason. wait a couple of more weeks to see if they hatch, but if not, simply throw them out.


  2. they left the old eggs because they did not hatch, pigeon eggs take 2 weeks to hatch, take the old eggs out of the nest and let them start fresh.

  3. The eggs are probably no good.Mother birds have a way of knowing if they are good or not.My hens will roll the eggs out of their nests that are no good.If they are mating again I would just let them try again.You could break open one of the eggs to see whats in it,if the babies are dead or not.But if they have been off of them for some time I doubt even if they were good that they would be now.
