Do people actually eat the colslaw on the side of their plate?

some people really like coleslaw.  Given a choice of sides they might pick it over fruit or a salad.  Go Figure.

I think that it depends on the quality of the cole slaw! It needs to be just wet enough but not so wet that it's goopy.

I just made some yesterday with green cabbage, carrots, raisins and pineapple. For the dressing, I used a pre-made cole slaw dressing that I bought from the produce section of my local supermarket.

I do at most places because I love cabbage.  Sometimes though, you'll go to a place and it's dry.  I don't eat that coleslaw.

I do!  I like KFC's coleslaw.  I have also had coleslaw with pineapple.  Mmmmmm.

I try it. If it doesn't taste fresh I won't eat it. If it does, I'll eat the whole thing. :-)

I do if it has a vinegrette dressing.  If it's mayonaise-based, forget it! :p

Sure.  I like it.  It's good in most restaurants.  If it's not, then I don't eat it.  I send it back and ask for a different side dish.

I hated cole slaw for the first 30 years of my life.Then one day I gave it a shot,now I eat it every time.

I like cole slaw. It is cabbage and mayo. It is good with fish. It is good on a chicken sandwich or a hamburger. I don't eat many hamburgers anymore though. I never eat hotdogs but it would be good on a hotdog.

Yes.  If in doubt, ask the serving person what  type of dressing was used.  Most eating establishments do not give choices, particularly "Fast Food" outlets.
