I see people talking about applying at Starbucks all the time but I wonder if it's that great of a job. I know they got sued in CA for forcing the baristas to share tips with shift managers.

Do you make at least minimum wage at Starbucks or do they pay waitress pay?

  1. I understand they have great benefits.

  2. I worked for Starbucks in Grand Rapids, MI & in Omaha, NE...

I loved my job & the customers.  I may not have always agreed with the practices of the managers and team members, but the benefits & perks were quite good.  the same goes for their competitor, Caribou Coffee... I have worked for both in the capacity of certified/trained barista and shift manager.

the only things you could be concerned with is the individuals you work with & some of the bureaucracies that arise in some of the stores & their markets.  that can be a pain, but the job is easy... the pay is good...  I started at the bottom at $7 an hour and was making $8.50 when I left...

    have fun! :)

  3. i would bet some because of all the benfits you get as well as the moneys ok i never worked there but i know a lot of people of have

  4. I once applied for a job at the Starbuck's near me; and the manager treated me like garbage.  I was clean, well dressed, quiet, calm, and ready to do the job.  The manager was hiring for the holiday season, and I had what it take to work for Starbuck.  The manager have me an attitude and insulted my capablility to do the job; when I called about my application.  If that manager treated me like c**p as a job applicant; her employees must be treated even worse.  Plus the employees in starbucks are always nasty to costumers.

I DOWN-LOOK STARBUCKS FOR THE WAY I WAS TREATED AS A JOB APPLICANT.
