Do people actually think that evil can prevail over good I mean GOD?

Quite a fundamental question...

The western idea of the word "God" is that he is the essence of Good, all-powerful and mighty and the master of life. So if you employ the vocabulary God, then no, and what is more is that it is almost like a tautology.

Now, if you actually question the existence of God, then there are more to be thought through. As somebody above has rightly remarked,

if you cannot define good or evil, then there is no answer to your question. But personally, I am far from that school of thought, called ethical non-cognitivism. I might have misspelt that.

If you do think the evil can prevail over good, then you are a satanist.

In secularistic term, that poses no problem on this wonderfully Politically Correct world. I personally do not think so and so I am not Politically Correct and therefore I must be stoned by some of the Democrats of the United States of America. Thank Goodness I am a sea far away though. And the labours of where I am living (namely England) and those of the PS of where I am currently (France), will not stone me because they are not bothered because I am simply "deluded".

Back to the question, Christians think God prevails over evil, including myself, and they make up quite a meaty proportion of the world population. Truth is no democracy but at least, it makes you feel that you are on the right side.

As nether exist (God and Evil) Why don't we actually just do something about the problems and stop the superstitions

Define evil. If you mean hurting other people to gain satisfaction, then yes. It happens every day. Remember the inqusition? The holocaust?

They are the same thing, just different sides. Neither can prevail, without one the other cannot exist.

The Crusades were essentially evil. the Witch Trials were essentially evil. They both involved the mass murdering of people.

Ironically, people call these two good, instead of bad...
