You know at Olive Garden Restaurant how they have all these foods with names from Italy. Have you guys really heard of them before or they just try to make it fancy? What if they mean like "GO DIE IN A FIRE!!" and no one even realizes it.

  2. Some do; others fake it.  It would be embarrassing not to know, and they can trust that almost everything at Olive Garden will be good.

OK.  What does Travis mean, "Italians?"  Maybe he's predjudiced.  Or maybe he wishes he were one.   :)

    Mama Mia!

  3. yeah Italians

  4. yes i think so if not you can always ask.

  5. Yes, it's pretty easy to understand.  Most of the Italian words on the menu refer to the shape of the pasta.  The others are pretty easy:  formaggio is cheese, pommodoro is a light tomato sauce, etc.

If  you don't understand the menu -- ask!  That's what the servers are there for.

  6. I think most people understand the names of the menu offered there. There is nothing fancy about the names-  Capellini Pomodoro, Steak Gorgonzola Alfredo, Manicotti Formaggio, Grilled Shrimp Caprese . . all pretty straightforward, especially if you have ever eaten Italian food. Plus there are detailed desciptions after each item in case someone has trouble understanding the menu.

I haven't seen anything resembling "vi muoiono in un incendio" on their menu, so there's no need to worry about the Olive Garden telling you to go die in a fire!
