  1. They block because they do not  want an opposing view.  They like one sided answers.

  2. Both I should think.  I haven't blocked anyone yet, but with the flood of liberal hate that has come in recently I am thinking of starting.

  3. No, but on second thought they might, but I doubt it.

  4. I usually block people because they say bad stuff about me. And then there are trolls like your first answerer who just post bad answers all the time.

  5. I don't mind people who disagree with me or who have a different point of view, but when they attack me personally instead of answering my question, then I block them.

I also block people who have blocked me first.  I've been blocked simply for answering a question, and the asker just didn't like my opinion, so then I block in return.

What I hate is people who report for no reason other than they don't like my opinion.  Those are the true cowards.  Give me thumbs down or block me, that's fine.  But reporting because of a difference of opinion is the coward's way out.

  6. Could be either or both. I've blocked people for sending me messages offline that were inappropriate and a waste of my time to read. I don't want to stop contact from everyone, so I just block those that should be seeking therapy and not attacking people online (online bullies are worse than offline bullies).

  7. Probably a little bit of both, sometimes.
