  1. I definitely developed mine. I couldn't draw c**p, but I didn't care, I thought it was good. I just kept drawing and drawing and if I look back to a drawing that I did two years ago I can't HELP but laugh. So, for me it was practice. Although there are some people I know that didn't know they could draw until they put a pencil to a paper and came out with a masterpiece, so , like you said, it's probably both.

  2. well it's kinda both...my grandmother was an artist so am i but i wasn't until 6th grade now im in 9th grade you need to find the hareditary talent and learn to use it...check out my drawings from the past 3 years

  3. No one is born with the drawing skill, rather, they are born with the skills to draw. People who think creatively, 'see' the world creatively, and who are able to really work hard for something without getting frustrated make the best artists. Even people with the skills to be great artists have to work hard to develop their skill and learn new things; never underestimate the hard work artists put into their skill!

When I say 'see'... A normal person sees a chair, I (an artist) see lines, shapes, light and shadow... The way a non-artist views things are completely differeint compared to the way an artist sees the world.

  4. i think all skills are developed but talent could be both.

  5.   Drawing skills are a talent that some people are born with. You can develop draftsmanship through hard work and practice. But like music, if you don't have an "ear" for music or are tone deaf, you can only learn to do so much.

Art, drawing in particular for me comes from within, I have always been able to draw and paint. My Mom, cousins, Aunt are also artists with varying degrees of skill and talent. Is it hereditary? Probably in the genes I'm sure.

But the lack of any of this means nothing, if you want to draw, just draw. Follow your creative flow, if you draw, dance, sing whatever, just go for it.

  6. I think it's a combination.  You can be born with a talent, but you must hone your skills in order to be good. ^^

  7. to me i think some are born with it and some develop it........

  8. Mostly drawing skills are from being born with it. (weird aint it?) It runs through the blood of the family members. Its also kinda a develpoment of usage of drawings.  It takes a loong time for a develpoment.

my grandpa is an artist and thats how my sister and I got this art skill. But I got a little development of the usage of this skill
