sorry if this question sounds braggy in any way, its just I'll run in2 people who I haven't seen for a long time they'll ask how I am and when I tell them I have a baby now and ask how old she is (she's 6 weeks) they look at my body and say "wow you don't look like you've even had a baby". I know its a good thing but for some reason it makes me feel insecure, like i don't look motherly enough or something? also I've always been a bit 2 skinny in my opinion so it just makes me insecure. I weigh 107 and I'm 5'2.

  1. i wish i had the same issue as you! well done for looking so fine after having a baby!!

  2. I wish I had your problem.  I had the opposite. My son gave me such bad stretch marks that I had this poochy belly. I received comments all the time about how great I looked pregnant. (when I wasn't)

Now that I'm pregnant people tell me how small I look. I look like a skinny pregnant lady versus an average size girl with a poochy belly. lol

  3. They don't have to..........Muhahaha

  4. you are just one of the lucky ones, i have 3 kids, my youngest is 9 weeks old and my other 2 are 7 and 9 years old. with my first 2 i still looked pregnant 6 months after they were born, but with my little baby now i had a completely flat belly again 2 weeks after he was born, even though i had 3 c-sections. with my first 2 i hated it when people asked me if i was pregnant again,  this time if i don't have baby with me and people say they don't believe i've got a young baby because of my figure it upset me just as much to begin with. but i've learnt not to listen anymore, because a lot of people believe that you should look a bit plump after having a baby but at the same time call you lazy if you haven't shifted the belly after 3 or 4 months, it's a no win situation.

keeping or losing your baby belly after having a baby doesn't make you more motherly, it's how you love and look after your daughter that makes you motherly, and i'm sure you do a lovely job.

and i think they meant it as a compliment anyway, so don't let it bug you too much.

  5. Yep and i love it, it's such a confidence boost!

I just had my 3rd child and he is nearly 8 weeks old, within a week of his birth i was a dress size smaller than i had been before falling pregnant, now everytime i go and visit my mum or friends they all tell me they think i've lost more weight...lovin it

  6. It is a good thing!!

Who ever said that being a 'motherly' meant thunder thighs , stubborn

love handles and a big belly pooch?

  7. no!! wish I was your size...   :(

  8. All the time!I feel the same as I was a UK size 8 before I was pregnant,a size 10 while pregnant, had my daughter the Saturday morning and by Thursday was back in my size 8's.I used to want a big bump while pregnant but now I just see the lucky side!
