do people with mental issues find it offensive when people refer to them as crazy?

normal people usually refer to themselves as crazy and dont take offense when people say it to them so does this mean that if you do take offense to the word crazy then you are crazy?

  1. Yes, think about it. If you are mentally ill and someone says that your a retarded would you be offended?!

  2. Do obese people find it offensive when someone calls them a fat a$$? I think in most cases the answer is yes. You could say to someone in a playful manner,"You're sooo craazzyy." That has a different tone than someone looking at you and saying,"You're crazy." It all depends on the source of the comment as well.

  3. i think they would find it offensive, we wouldnt get offended because we are not insecure about our mind as they may be.

  4. This is an extremely obvious question, if you had big feet and I started laughing at you calling you big foot, you would take offense.

So yes a person with mental issues WOULD take offense

  5. No..I wouldn't at all.

People call me that all the time.lol.

  6. Is this is a response to your previous question......?

It's not a case of people finding it offensive to refer to them as crazy, it just show's your ignorance/lack of sensitivity on the subject.

Would you mock someone who was in a wheelchair, do you think they would find it offensive if you call them a 'raspberry ripple - cripple'! - thing about it.......

When comments are a little near to the mark they are not funny just hurtful.......
