  1. I think there are lots of people out there that hire wedding planners.

I don't think it is all rich people who hire planners - I'm definitely not rich, but my mother got a planner for my wedding. There were a lot of things that happened while planning the wedding, so it was really nice to have her there to handle the little details - but don't get me wrong, I still did a ton of things on my own.

We hired her because we knew her from some previous events that she had done. She was very nice, gave us a great price and for a flat fee.

  2. Yes, where I'm at alot of people hire wedding planners.

No it's not just rich people. I am FAR from rich but I needed a wedding planner

and I did hire a wedding planner because at events i'm usually the one running around doing all the work myself last minute and i wasn't doing it this time...so thats why

  3. Someone who travels a lot for work, or someone who is not very organized are really the best candidates for a wedding planner for a small to medium wedding. Doesn't have to be a high cost wedding either.  Most women, however, do not fall into either category and are perfectly capable of planning their own wedding.

  4. Hi there.. It all depends on what you consider "a lot"

But yes, quite a few people do hire wedding consultants for their weddings.  Remember its not just weddings. Consultants plan parties, meetings, and corporate events too.

Not only rich people hire a coordinator for their events.  Generally prices are based on the size of the event.

  5. yes people do.  it alleviats a LOT of stress.  you have 1-2 people who are in control of handling logistics, confirmations, reservations, attitudes from others..its the best thing.  they report back to you whats going on and thats it.  you just show on the big day.  so planners may have connects so they can even turn your big day up a notch.  i had a freind who's best friend owned a mansion that overlook some fabolous ocean and the planner was able to rent the mansion out for one of her client's big day...now mind you it did cost some pretty pennies, but still...i think a planner is an excellent idea.  by the time your big day comes you will be exhausted with all the work you were doing. why not let someone else do it??

  6. I know a few people who have hired wedding planners, none of them are rich, and it worked for them.

I didn't hired a wedding planner, my fiance and I have arranged everything ourselves because that is what works best for us. We wanted to be very much hands on when it came to our wedding. Admittedly it's been stressful at times but it has also been very enjoyable.

  7. yes they do....i just finished being the wedding planner for my neice...i didn't chg...i just wanted her to have a special day...i made dresses...flowers...decorations and made sure her reception went perfectly...get someone to help you...aunt of the bride
