Do people honestly think Jade Goody is using her cancer diagnosis to boost her popularity ratings?

I was shocked to read in one of the tabloids today that they think jade goody could be using her cancer diagnosis as a popularity booster, in other words people will feel sorry for her. I don't think that is the case at all, she went to go on the indian BB to prove that she has learnt a valuable lesson for the controversial celeb BB last year, she also went to india knowing that she had something wrong with her but did not know what(maybe she was in denial), it then gets announced to her live on air that she has cancer and has to return to the uk for emergency treatment immediately, the poor girl was obviously in bits and has shown genuine emotion throughout this whole ordeal, even if she did try to keep it public it would have come out anyway. So she has every right to tell her story as it is, not with people speculating and making up stuff, that girl has guts. She might not be the brightest star in the sky but then that's what makes her unique. I wish her all the best, i think after the whole disastrous celeb BB she is a completely different person.

I think that faced with the possibility of dying, that publicity will be the last thing on her mind.

Being diagnosed with cancer is like being given a death sentence, your first priority is your family and yourself, not what total strangers think.

I'm not a fan of Jade Goodie's, but I do feel for her and wish her the best.

It's a publicity stunt.

If she knew she had something wrong no normal person would have private medical details revealed live to the whole world.

Most people keep this sort of stuff to themselves and just tell family.

Of course she isn't.

Cervical cancer is VERY serious and if she hadn't have come home when she did and have a hysterectomy and other treatment , she will die in a few weeks.

i think that she isn't using her cancer as publicity,

i think everyone should give her a break. the poor woman has cancer, bless her. I don't think she'd do that, if anything i think she is trying to stay out of the papers.

I think the whole thing is foul, so the poor girl was out of order with her racist remarks, but she wasn't the only one, and as a matter of fact there are quite a few times when the boot has been on the other foot, but if anyone truly does think the girl is using her cancer for gain they had best go look at themselves in the mirror because there is the face of true malice. Shame on them. I am so sorry for Jade and her family, as I would be for anyone with such an ordeal ahead. The cancer she has got is very serious and she may not be here much longer can we let her forget the past and concentrate on her family now or is decency really no longer around?

To be fair, she hasn't tried to keep it a secret, has she? Max Clifford made sure of that. How else is she going to earn the money she has been accustomed to- quantum physics ?

It is a terrible thing to happen to anyone, but you can't deny that she is milking it for all it's worth. And I don't blame her.

And she went onto Indian BB for the same reason-money. Telling India sorry was just a by-product. So yes, it's a bad thing that has happened to her, but don't think that she doesn't know what she is doing- why else do people go on Big brother? If you want to lock yourself in a room for 90 days, you can do that at home.

i agree with you! shes in the public eye most if not all the time! she has no where to run! considering thats all people are talking about and considering they get bored of her fast no wonder they have gave it a twist to make it sound exciting! but all it doen is kick a dog when it down!

I was diagnosed with skin cancer last year and you know what, It did not cross my mind to use it to increase my popularity or sympathy, in fact that was the last thing on my mind. I concentrated on getting better for my family and in my moments of despair I didn't even want them around! It is despicable to suggest Jade is using this nasty illness for publicity. I for one hope she comes through it as unscathed as possible, but to be honest people, she will do a lot better if you kept your snide comments to yourself, just once eh! Give her some space! Just think if it was some one you knew, how would you feel. Bless you Jade , get better!

Poor girl my ar$e, she is a disgusting, racist piece of c**p and deserves all she gets.

A) She went on India BB for the money full-stop (by her own admission she said she needed the money).  

B) She obviously agreed that her being told this news to be shown on TV in front of millions of people - surely her family should have been the first to know.  Such an obvious PR stunt.

C) Max Clifford knows that it is deeply un-PC to slag somebody off with cancer so this is a great opportunity for the re-launch of Jade Goody.

D) She was OK on the flight home from India but turned on the fake tears at Heathrow in front of the cameras.

E) It appears she has actually spoken to various tabloids about this but never has appeared on TV in person doing a live interview, which indicates it is all very media manipulated.  You can tell by the interviews that it isn't her speaking.  They don't want her to appear live at this moment in time.

F) The only way she could redeem herself is to give the £100,000 fee she got to charity but she will never do that because she is not that kind of person.

G) Taking £100,000 from one of the poorest countries in the world for doing next to nothing indicates small print in her contract, which again indicates that she knew full well what was coming and is going to milk it.

H) If you don't believe it's a PR stunt then just wait and see, you don't have to be a genious to envisage such headlines in tacky tabloids like 'Jade my cancer h**l...'  Brave Jade etc etc.

i think people should  back off from slating her  , whatever she's done in the  past doesn't warrant such hatred  ,She a  young mother  who  must  be  very scared   right   now  and she knows she's made some  mistakes in her  past but  she's tried to make  amends  for  them we  should  show her   support at  a  time like  this  . i  wish her well  x
