  1. I experienced that it is different from family to family. Some buy gifts, some just sweets. When I was a child there was always any small gift like a teddy bear or something in addition to the sweets. But now it's just sweets and this is ok. I just heard today of families that buy gifts or give money. I think that is too much for easter. Me too, I just give sweets to my beloved ones.

  2. When I was a kid we just got sweets like chocolate eggs and an Easter bunny but more and more it became more commercial and now many people buy their kids presents like on Xmas. Think it started that kids got to many sweets and people gave them money or small gifts instead, like sand moulds because people used this opportunity to give their kids 'toys for summer'

  3. Our tradition is only an easter egg hunt and a easter candy basket. No other gifts.

I think it's the same thing in the US and Germany...some do only easter egg hunts and candies and other load their children up with gifts.

I have not heard of gift giving between adults on easter, but hey if your husband loves surprises and gifts then this would be a nice occasion to do it.  ;-)

  4. Yes CHILDREN but not for husband's!!!!!

Teacher???? Are you still in school?

  5. of course we do...why don't you ask your husband? Children get easter baskets which are hidden and they have to look for them. Usually adults give each other gifts, too.

EDIT: Oh I see, well it's usually just something small, hope you find something.

  6. Yes it is usual to buy some gifts for easter though they tend to be smaller than at christmas.
