Do people in Mexico actually look like this?

I watch a show on Univision and these are the characters:

It got me thinking whether or not this was an accurate representation of what lots of Mexicans look like? Of course there's got to be some media influence and image promotion, but are people like this found in Mexico?

Yeah, I'm mexican but I look italian or spanish because I have spanish blood most people never guess I'm from mexico.

I have interacted with thousands of Mexicans and I must confess these people don't look Mexican to me. They look like Europeans to me.

Mexicans are classified as Caucasian.

You must remind yourself that Mexican is only an ethnicity, NOT a race.

Just like Indians, who are Caucasian too.

Edit: Those who use the term "white mexicans" or "they could be European" have beem mislead.

Yes, Mexicans are very good looking people.

Yes!  they can be this diverse.  Although it's not as diverse as it is in the US.

I understand that most americans believe them to be short and dark skinned.  But those are the poor from places like Chiapas or Michoacan.  but if you go to Monterrey or Guadalajara, they have white people there too.  They are called güeros.

Of course there is!  The image that most people have of Mexicans are of the ones that come here illegally.  The reason you see the Mexicans that you see in the U.S. is because they are mostly from the countryside looking for a better life.  If you go to Mexico City D.F., you'll see beautiful women that look like they could be European.
