  1. no!he wrote his poetry over 200 yrs ago,and speech,language etc have changed quite a bit


  2. No but we will use some words that are of the dialect  e.g: dicht (wipe), Shuch (Ditch)

    Robert Burns wrote his poems in a sort of Ayrshire dialect, and he didn't always get it right haha ... the dialect he wrote the poems in is now out of date ... most Scottish kids have to spend some time learning what all the dialect words mean before they can read his poems ... OK so the Scottish kids have less trouble learning to understand them than I did (I'm a poor English person)

    there are many different accents in Scotland depending on which part of the country people are from, just like there is in most countries ... the way people speak in Inverness is one of the clearest forms of English you'll find whereas many people struggle to understand someone who speaks in broad Glaswegian

  4. That's like saying "Do people in England talk like how Shakespeare wrote his plays?". Or an American saying "Howdy pardner". Of course not. This is the 21st Century.
