  4. The answer for your report is probably NO, but I have certainly heard people call the Swiss dialects of German "Swiss". The question of whether it is a language is harder: most people will say it is not (that it's a dialect) but some versions are far more different from standard German than some other entities classed as languages (ex Norwegian and Danish, I believe) are from each other. The official language is standard German, and writing would almost always be in standard German. (Swiss-German writing looks very weird...)
