Do people in california have better quality internet?

I've been doing a little research and found that most of the most used sites today have there servers in California so does that mean people in California have faster access to sites in general then people in more eastern areas?

I know this is kind of a stupid question but I was just curious :)

Not necessarily. It all depends on the Bandwidth you subscribe to.

Yes they,

some are on broadband with high speed, linked up all the way from the UK.

I heard the same thing....they do have better internet service.
