  2. Yes, they're crazy about it. France, Spain and Portugal are the best places. Hossegor, Biarritz and Capbreton are the HQ for france. Mundaka and plenty spots on the north coast of Spain, and pretty much anywhere in Portugal. Check it out on google images.

There are many big waves, lots of solid ground swell builds up in the Atlantic, near the west European coast, cause of the gulfstream current and differences in temperature.

Personally I prefer Cali or Australia as places to surf 'cause Europe, when it's working, has lots of rips n currents and it just ain't my idea of a good time....

    But it gets good, sure.

  3. Lots of surf in Europe.  As the the other guy mentioned the Atlantic coast of France and the Basque region in Spain are big.  The UK has a strong surf culture on its eastern coast and I have seen some decent footage from Italy.  Israel also gets some decent surf.

If you check out Magic Seaweed you can get surf reports for lots of European locations as well as some web cams.  http://www.magicseaweed.com
