I've got a british friend who makes non-stop fun about everything that is American.

I think they're just... still kinda angry... y'know, since that thingy in 1776 when they lost their colonly...

Probably, most Brits find it hilarious to imitate other countries accents, no matter how badly they do it or how much they're offending the person sitting in front of them

Not sure who "we" are, but it is not uncommon for people speaking the same language but with different accents to "slide" quite unconsciously towards each other's pronunciation to some extent, unless one has a particularly strong dialect.

Yes, but you guys are significantly more into the British accent.  An American in Britain won't get us much "we love your accent" remarks as a Brit in the US.  I think we are more used to your accent than you probably think, since approximately 75% of our tv shows comes from the US.  I still think its s**y, though!

Yes, but I'm sure they are much better. I hear Americans imitate them all the time, and I think. . .what idiots. They sound nothing like a Britt. . .I mean, you are who you are, so don't try to change that. If I go to the UK I'm going to use my own accent.
