Not really. Everyone likes english football or rugby.

They like Basketball quite alot but their not really into baseball or hockey. Their more into sports like Football (soccer) and Cricket.

Baseball is a minority sport with litttle following and a few small columns in newspapers giving US results . Basketball more popular but again a minority sport . Hockey sometimes termed field hockey is popular and played in many schools . Ice hockey is played professionally and has a smallish but enthusiastic following .

Not as a general rule. The most popular sports (to watch) are football, rugby, tennis, cricket and snooker (all of which are our inventions, incidentally)
