Is this human nature, is the point to watching movies or reading books like Johnny Got His Gun or Born On the Fourth Of July to feel better about yourself(in addition to not start wars)

Do people like seeing crippled or injured people to give them a better appreciation of life

When people say there is always someone who has it worse then you, is that a bad way to look at life because there is always someone at the bottom who doesnt have it better then anyone and alot of people who cant relate or know anyone who has it worse then them

Is it ultimatly wrong to go through life needing others to feel better about yourself or is that human nature?

Are humans naturally scumbags or are we supposed to be empathetic and sympathetic

Is it natural to look at people worse then you and feel better about yourself, or is that unhealthy as humans are supposed to be or at least should be if they are mentally healthy sympathetic and empathetic towards them
