  1. Unlike what other people might think, I personally do believe that most of the Panamian citizen now are leaving Panama because there is a high raise in inflation and to make things worse, you cant buy the same things for the same amount of money!!!


  2. Nowadays most of the people are heading to Panama in order to retire.  I don't have the exact numbers but from what I have gathered, that statement is 100% true about retiring in Panama.

  3. Both. Despite Panama's well off economy there are still Panamanians who live in poverty and go elsewhere for many reasons. The  majority of people who migrate to Panama are old retirees from the U.S.

    In 2005 there were 136,375 Panamanians in the U.S., one of the lowest numbers of Central Americans there.

    The net migration rate for Panama is -0.37 migrant(s)/1,000 population, very low.
