Do people mistake ball hogging with....?

I think people sometimes mistake ball hogging with taking the ball and make something happen when your team is not knocking down shots, its good to be unselfish but when your team is down and you know how to score then I think its good to ball hogg.

Example: Kobe was being way too unselfish in the Finals, he should taken over the game but instead gave the ball to his teammates who were not making a shot.

There is times in a game when you know that you are the one with the hot hand and your team is sucking thats when you have to take the ball and score.

Basketball is a team sport. Thats why the Celtics beat the Lakers. When its a close game, the stars are supposed to step in and take over. Thats what they're paid for. Being selfish is when your team is down by 10+ points and you're trying to do everything yourself. In the Finals Kobe Bryant was taking terrible shots and wasn't getting his team involved. Pau Gasol should have been a bigger factor in the series but it's hard when he isn't involved until late in the game. Ball hogging is ball hogging whether you're hitting all your shots or missing all of your shots.

THANK YOU,, That was very much needed...I totally agree lakers would have won if kobe would have just kept the ball in his hands but no he had to pass it ,, people always claiming that hes a ball hog,, ehich that came show he wasnt they lost and he still getting hated on,, he cant satify any of tha haters if it isnt one thing its another

WEll yes i think a lot of people do, It was not Kobes fault that he had bad teammates, but he should have kept the ball and used it himself, he was the only one that could fight of thge intensity of losing the finals but he blew it. I think that people like Kobe and lebron should know when to hold the ball and uuse it themselves or when to pass it.
