  1. you could race it if you want but you would get owned. if you want to start to race get a 125 2 stroke bike and then youll be able to race. the ttr125 will max out at like 60 and i have a 04 kx125 ive i have had it going 120

  2. I guess you can race anything. It wouldnt be a bike of choice for motocross....It makes a great pit bike.

  3. tt-r 125 is not a race bike.  Its meant for recreational use only.  I never checked the top speed mine could get but I'm guessing it was around 60-70kmh

  4. i would not race a ttr-125. for one there a 4 stroke made for trail riding, not for racing. i topped my friends ttr-125 with and upgraded pipe at 56 mph.if you are looking to race, look into a yz 125 or yz 250

  5. Attr-125 will top out at about 50 mph, It might be ok to race enduro youth class or somthin

  6. i guess you could. but its not nearly as fast as it should be for racing but i guess it would only be really fair if you were racing people with 125's

  7. Only for a Beginners class on a track with little or no jumps. The TTR series is a trails series not meant for racing. the yamaha's racing series is the YZ's and YZ-F's.

Also top speed doesn't matter in a race because you hardly go top speed.  The problem with it would be that you would have to shift through all of the gears very quickly on it in order to keep up.  Just more work than its worth.

As for the speed... the TTR125 is no rabbit, its not designed to go fast, a yz85 could Easily beat probably 2 times over.   But you can also just change the sprocket sizes on any bike to give it either more power or more speed so the question is more of horespower

  8. That depends upon what country you are in.  In Australia there is no class to race them.  There used to be but they are not designed to race and people were getting hurt trying to race them, so they got rid of them as a race bike choice.  In America I believe you can race them, but I don't advise it as the suspension is just not made to race with and you risk the chance of getting hurt by doing so.

I would say the best you could get out of one would be 50 - 60

They are  a good first recreational bike but not for mx

  9. They might do....... they will lose however.

You must know nothing about MX racing if you are asking questions on top end, as an MX bike will almost never reach that.

  10. i never get out of 3rd gear you will never see higher than that. so  if you are gonna race you do not worry about top speed. its all bottom that you need to worry about , you could race that but you better be realy good to keep up.
