Do people realize the dangers of air bags????????

I see so many people propping their feet on the dash, mostly passengers. If that airbag was to go off the damage to their legs, hips, feet, etcc

My father broke his finger as a result of having his thumbs wrapped around the steering wheel when his driver's airbag deployed.

If you are a passenger in a vehicle, and rest your feet on the dash, you run the risk of having your feet and legs pushed through the windshield and then back up against your shoulders snapping your spine. You can also be thrown forward out and under your seatbelt causing you more injury......never mind the airbags damages!

There are two stage airbags now, which deploy at a very high rate of speed at first, and then slow down...........

There are very dangerous it also goes off when theres a problem like reversing a car in a stall! It went off and their was some injuries earring lost and head aches and shoulder injuries! This what happened to my hubby! Hubby is a Master Tech and fixes cars! So I do know its very dangerous!

Think about the people you see bent over going through the glovebox or a bag.  I would rather have an airbag to the leg then my head.  People just don't think, they think it won't happen to me.

Not to worry ! Air bags are built to be fail safe. You can't deploy an air bag by beating on the dash or steering wheel' It can only be deployed by a voltage going Through a circuit to the air bag. The airbag module is where the circuit originates and it itself has fail safe features built in so only certain forces acted upon it will activate the deployment circuit. If you ain't in an accident, they WILL NOT deploy..

Seatbelts are an excellent safety device..... Only in rare instances do they contribute to more injurys or death...... The large percentages of lives saved and reduced injury's far outweigh the few misfortunes air bags can cause..... Idiots with there feet on the dashboards deserve what they get...... Everybody on the planet knows what airbags do so if some fool gets busted up for being extra stupid then so what......

I see the same thing everyday and apparently they do not understand just what could happen, people are people and many as you already know will not use common since.....
