Do people realize the entire population of Alaska (to govern over) is less than the population of many cities?

Many city mayors have greater responsibilities and definitely more people they are responsible for than any governor of Alaska ever has had.

I was wondering when this was going to be pointed out. In fact, a mayor of a Metropolitan city will have had a great deal more responsibilities than any governor of Alaska, not picking on Palin.

There are Many, Many, Many cities whose population exceeds that of Alaska.

It's like working in rural Mayberry and thinking you are ready to be President. Don Knotts for Vice President!

Downplaying Palin's credentials does not 'up-play' Obama's credentials.

This is very true I grew up in a Sarah Palin town.  It was very laid back everyone was pretty much on the same page and many homes had guns for hunting and fishing gear.  In fact 3 of my classmates were killed in hunting accidents. Sort of went with the territory.

This bears no relationship to living in the 1.5 million city where I live now. This is a big city where even the highschool students who belonged to the NRA did not want guns carried by teenagers in the City. And explained to their legislator why they strongly disagreed with the NRA policy of the moment.  They were thoughtful about why. This was before Columbine. There were a couple of those students more qualified than Sarah Palin to be VP.

Biden lives in a small but densely populated state but as  Chair of the Judiciary Committee he has heard a great deal from Police about their needs and concerns about the population they serve.  He was a leader in writing and passing the violence against women laws.  He is not a little girl, mentally Sarah Palin is. And in terms of land and concentration he deals with real problems of urban areas and Palin never has.  This is ridiculous.  

We just had a major storm that wiped out electricity downed trees and power polls for more of the population than her little town.  So police, fire and cleanup all had to be done.  And that was only for part of the population.  All the other issues had to be addressed for the rest of the population, over a million as well.  Little Sarah is not up to that kind of challenge.

One only has to listen to her for a short time to realize she is just plain unprepared.
