  1. Yes, primarily because McCain isn't against the war AT ALL and he doesn't want to bring the troops home AT ALL.

  2. they are all crooked but I think he will bring them home. he has no oil interests there so why would he....all politicians are corrupt. I think Mccain will be another bush

  3. There aren't too many people who's NOT against the Iraq war these days...besides McCANE!

  4. Obama said it was a stupid war. Pretty clear. After that everything is nuanced since once we are there the mopping up is hard to do without making things worse.

But it is worse and getting "worser" by the day. Neo-con hyping up the "future" war against Iran could put our troops in danger. The Iraqis that are still in the country aren't exactly happy with our continued presence. They no longer want anything to do with our oil companies either since China has offered them a better deal and could be picking off the last potential cherries off the bad deal these war-mongers dealt us. We'll see.

Obama is not a pacifist and never has been. His stance towards Iran as he stated toward the Israelis was much harsher than Mccain had said prior to that...though Mccain has since ramped up the rhetoric with some really crazy talk.

Iraqis need to get along with their neighbors and do not wish to be totally under the thumb of the US no matter how bad their leaders try to sell them down the river. In countries like that those Iraqis that sell their country for a few million in the bank will be hunted down and killed. That is probably why the members of their Parliment spend most of the time out of Iraq.

Obama said only that he will do what the Bush regime is now saying they will do. The US military does not want to give up those bases that they have built with billions of our tax-dollars. Obama knows that and knows they will kill him before they allow him to give it up and bring all the troops home... ever.

Hey, any politician that votes against more war tax-dollars gets painted as being against the troops. Politicians suck when it comes to having a principled stand. Obama is also a member of CFR, like McCain and Clinton. They all are bought and paid for...and not by us.

  5. His voting record is against our push into Iraq. But we have to realize now that we are now in this quagmire, Obama has to act in ways to bring things back into the better.

McCain, from my understanding, also wants to withdraw but not until this is resolved. Both got put into situation that we see as this generations Vietnam.

Obama wants more involvement in Afghanistan, where the real terrorist threat is. McCain, last time I checked, wants a push in Iraq.

Both candidates got pushed into this because of Bush but I personally feel based on voting records in the Senate the Obama has been against it.

  6. Both are liars. Whatever sounds good to the audiance they are trying to obtain is what they will say. We have'nt had a good president since Reagan.

McCain would be a better President if we went to war with lets say Russia. Obama is a good president for peacetime.

    But to put it simple.

One will raise taxes and cause the economy to shrink even more(Obama) and the other will keep a pointless expensive war going in Iraw(McCain) which will lead to the EXACT same thing that the other is doing. So either way, our taxes are going up(Democrats love raising taxes,) and our economy is going to h**l.

  7. There's no war in Iraq.  It's an occupation.  It has been for the last five years.  It's time for us to get out of Iraq and let the Iraqi's have it back.

  8. We have just made an agreement, subject to approval, to remove US forces from Iraq. I think this is a good move by the Bush administration to prolong the US involvement in Iraq. It requires removal of troops from metropolitan areas by next June. I think the long-term deadline of removing all troops is 2011. This would allow the Bush adminsisteation to prolong the engagement should Obama be elected. It also shows the Bush administration ecpects Obama  will be elected.

And, BTW, do you know who first called the invasion of Iraq a quagmire? It was d**k Cheney.
