It is more of a rumor. It has to do with the gravitational pull on earth by the moon.

The moon definately makes the people get active. I was a patrol officer in LA for 7 years and I always noticed much more activity and problems when the moon was full. It really brought out the nut cases.

There may be a possible link between an increase in emergency room visits during days when the moon is at or near its fullest, according to researchers at Colorado State University.

The data, which spanned 10 years of almost 12,000 case histories, indicates that the risk of emergencies on days with fuller moons was 23 percent greater when compared with other days.

The types of emergencies ranged from cardiac arrest to epileptic seizures and trauma, and the increase was most pronounced during the moon’s three fullest stages — waxing gibbous, full, and waning gibbous.

My experience is, when I see a full moon out, it induces me to get ready, because usually, it will be a very long night, like last night, was a full moon and friday night.  Might I add, HORRIBLE MIX.

No but people realize patterns. people will see crazyness and a full moon and put those two together. then they will see crazyness and no full moon and ignore that.

Who knows... but the jails always appear to be at full capacity.   ER rooms and hospitals are known for the same phenomena.

I don't like believing in the supernatural or related things.  However I do notice that when there is a full moon more fighters come into the jail than normal.......
