  1. yes..no one cares bout wat u wear...coz of sum cultures livin here..they dont really wear shoes

  2. yes lots of people go shopping barefoot in new zealand.  it's very common to see people walking around barefoot just about everywhere...shopping malls, supermarkets, restaurants, theatres.  no one really cares what you wear.   it's a very laid back relaxed country and the people are great. new zealand is awesome!

  3. It doesnt matter where you in NZ are or what your doing there are people everywhere in bare feet.

  4. wow thats crazy i wanna go to Cap d'Agde, France.!   j/k

i think they might not use shoes or socks in new zealand

  5. R u for real. Yeah some do sum don't. Where u from

  6. Haha, my favourite topic, feet, crazy kiws and new zealand.

    Haha yes, people here do!

    Its really quite funny

  7. I've known some New Zealanders to go barefeet in Australia  and some men topless when shopping. I just say to my friends"they must be Kiwis " which mostly is the case. Shoes in New Zealand are very expensive unless you buy the cheap and nasty ones so maybe thats the reason. Also they are a very isolated country so maybe they don't realise its not correct dress for shopping

  8. Yes.  I do in summer.  Some places don't let you in; I wasn't allowed in a restaurant once.  They were afraid that if I trod on broken glass they'd be liable.  I came to NZ from Britain in 1968 and stayed at the YMCA in Auckland.  I was surprised how many of the students staying there went around barefoot.  In Britain you don't go barefoot whatever the weather, because of all the doggy poo.

  9. lol... what a really weird question to ask.....

yes we do go barefoot while we shop and some people do, however the majority wear shoes for safety reasons of course, mind you Im surprised that some places in america will not allow it.... why is that?

    only in america eh!

  10. Not only do they go shopping barefoot... the wear loin clothes and do a strange war dance before they race their sailboats.

  11. Yes they do!  I've also seen people in 24hour supermarkets in PJs and slippers (Yikes)!

  12. depends where you are in NZ.In the more rural areas of NZ being barefoot is far more commen then in the more metropolin areas.

  13. Not sure where these New Zealanders who are saying yes we all shop in bare feet live but I don't see anyone in Wellington with bare feet.  Maybe in a beachy town like Nelson or Motueka.

Some shops may frown on you with bare feet - others probably wouldn't notice at all.

Bars and nightclubs require shoes (no running shoes) although for some reason they allow women to wear belts for dresses? hmmmm....

  14. I have been to Australia and there were barefoot people on the Sydney subway. Kind of scary to me with the needles on the ground in places like King's Cross. My Canadian feet are only bare on the beach and in bed.

  15. I don't know about New Zealand, but they shop nude in Cap d'Agde, France.  They clearly don't have a "no shirt, no shoes, no service" policy there!

  16. yeah we go barefoot everywhere almost! its called having Kiwi feet if you dont do it you are not a true kiwi

  17. yes u can go shopping barefoot in New Zealand anywhere u want to .but i hardly ever see anyone without shoes on so it isn't a common thing to do

  18. Yeah, they do... why shouldn't they go barefoot? It's not dangerous or gross: feet get very tough very quickly and are fully washable. There may be a few places that don't allow bare feet, but not near as much as in the US. Only in the US are 'no shoes, no shirts, no service' signs really wide-spread, I've never seen one here in the Netherlands and most barefooters from other countries I've emailed with hardly ever have any trouble in stores either.

(Btw, individual stores in the US may have dress codes, but there are NO health department laws requiring such. See source.)

  19. Yes I do I don't like wearing shoes when I'm home in the country and sometimes I forget myself and still go out shopping barefoot.
