  1. People do and coming from someone who has worked as a recruiter and has many contacts in the field, the main response to something like that is a chuckle or if you go really overboard your resume ends up chain emailed to the other recruiters in the office for a good laugh had by all.  I can't tell you some of the crazy things I've seen on resumes.

Unless your applying for a job with a religious organization or that may have a religious background, leave that kind of fluff out.  Don't give recruiters any ammo to judge you by unessacarily.

  2. Some people want the potential employer to know about them and they often list anything that is relative to their personality. Some people list religious affiliation because it is who they are, some list it because they want to spread the word, and believe it or not, some list it because they think it will help them get the job.

  3. It is certainly unusual.  As the hiring authority for my public service department, it would have no bearing on a person getting hired.  It might even have a negative impact as employers would have the fear that this person might be some what of a zealot and want to spread the word to fellow employees and this is not allowed at a work sight. While being a christian is commendable it has no significance on a resume. A resume is to be used to point out your career enhancements.

  4. Not a good idea unless the application is to a religious group, and maybe not even then.  For a county services job it would be way out of line.

  5. I don't know.  I think the best thing you can write on a job app or resume would be:  "Won't p**p pants at work."

Employers REALLY appreciate that type of honesty.

  6. You shouldn`t. weather or not people do. I couldn`t tell you.. Job application and resumes are for "selling" your self to the employer.
