Yes, it really is alright to abort fetuses and zygotes.  If someone I loved had been aborted, well then, I never would have met them in order to love them, would I?  So there is no problem there.

Yes, they really believe it's ok, as do I.  About a loved one?  It's not like you've met a 10-week old fetus and formed a relationship with it.  

Believe it or not even when it was illegal, it was still done.  It will always be done, even if the religious zealots somehow manage to overturn it, women will still get abortions.

It's not a baby until the fetus is viable outside the womb.  End of story.  Viability happens at 23-25 weeks (15% chance of survival at 23 weeks, 75% chance of survival at 25.)

Of course people really think that, and it's happening everyday. It just isn't right, in fact it's murder! I just don't see how they could live with themselves after killing an innocent baby. And yes, even though the baby isn't fully developed, it's still human, and so therefore if you get an abortion, it is murder! That baby is going to die. He or she will not be immortal. The only difference in the experiences of an aborted baby and a baby that lives a 'regular' life is what happens in between birth and death. What happens in between birth and death ? It varies but people usually complain through out most of it if when they're not too busy worrying so...abortion is, just based on my assessment of the joy of being alive, the best bet. Having an abortion is a medical procedure that needs to be discussed between a woman and her physician. Every situation and every person is different. Having a baby can be very dangerous for some woman and even life threatening, why should it be a decision of the government? I personally believe that you should have the right to chose.  No one can say what they would or would not do in that situation.  I would like that option if I were raped.  As if rape isn't horrible and trying enough for the victim, to carry her rapist's child for 9 months just seems like unnecessary torture.  But I think that is a decision that no one can make until they are in that position.  I am pro-choice.  That does not mean I would have an abortion.  That means I would like the option.  I do not feel it is an acceptable form of birth control.  I think it is an acceptable option for victims of rape, incest, etc.  A friend of mine is a strong believer that abortion is murder.  Then she got pregnant our freshman year of college at 18.  She had an abortion.  She still preaches to everyone that it is wrong.  But she had that choice.  In a country where we are supposed to be free, how is telling a woman what she MUST do under ALL circumstances ok?  It's not.

depends how far it is from being born. Also Miscarriages happen all the time, and I know a lot of parents who this happened to, but for most it happened very early, just after they found out they were pregnant and I can't say any felt the remotely the same than they would have if an already born baby died. Most said it's the chance for another baby...and the most worry was not about the embryo but the worry if they could have children at all.
