How do you feel about it? I wrote this and I think it is pretty funny:

Did you like it? Or not? Has that happened to you?

  1. Trivia, by its very definition, is trivial - meaning of little importance.  So while I love it and I'm good at trivia contests, I keep it in perspective.  It's just trivia.

Whether it's completely useless or not is debatable, but even at its best it serves little actual purpose.

  2. Actually, I say it to myself a lot: we live in a strange society in which more people are interested in celebrities than they are in important issues such as global warming, wars, Presidential elections ( how many people think Obama is a Muslim? ) world hunger, world poverty, etc.   I realized how insane this was by leafing through an US Weekly ( or People) that was two years old - I didn't know who most of the important people they covered that week were !
