  1. yes they do just to fit in

  2. You hit that nail right on the head.  Yes ,they do.

  3. Yes i do, i don't know why some people want to be like someone else and not be themselves, sometimes i think that some people are just like a bunch of zombies because all they seem to do is follow each other in every thing, maybe the word zombie is a bit strong, but that is the way i see it, maybe i should have used the word sheep. I have to say that i prefer to be an individual, just being  ME, the way i am, and not portray myself as some body else, hope this has answered your question from one total individual not a zombie or sheep.

  4. It just depends what they are all trying to be like?

But, yes, i do think that most teenagers/anybody for that matter do try to be something they know they're not, and it isn't worth the hassle. Because eventually, the people will see somehting coming out of you (hence: your REAL self) and they will start to notice that you are faking everything about yourself, and if they don't like you enough to like you for YOU, then they're not your real friends

  5. Interesting question. And yes, people spend WAY TOO MUCH TIME trying to be like others. It is human nature, we all want to be liked and especially young people need to find their own way, and sometimes some of them think being like this or like that person makes it easier.

Media is also an important factor because we look in a magazine and think "I wished I looked like her" and start starving ourselves and buying things we don't actually need, just be closer to our "ideal". And I'm not gonna start talking about anorexia now..

But yes, people spend a lot of time trying to something they are not without realizing that in the end it's all about YOURSELF. You are the only person who matters, not what your friend or cousin thinks about you. And s***w those people who say you are a loser, they're gonna go bald when they get old too.
