  1. I think so, maybe less so though. Police officers don't much care for people doing that. It migth even be illegal in some places.

  2. Once in a while but the fine is very expensive now-days and what can happen when you do this is warn a potential drunk driver ahead to slow down and then he or she will continue to drive drunk and wind up killing someone because you warned them, its not worth doing it............

  3. As a biker, I'm always warned by fellow riders. The odd car will still give a friendly flash :) but they're few and far between.

  4. Yes they do, I have, and any way you can get the attention of police or highway patrol when necessary and without injury to others, is acceptable.

A car in front of me was weaving one night in the slow lane when I saw a highway patrol officer ahead giving someone a ticket. I honked and blinked my lights a few times and as the officer turned to look, he pressed himself up against the car and the weaving driver just missed him by inches.

By now you see I got your question wrong, or others did and I didn't? I'll answer both ways then.

Signalling someone as they pass you by blinking your lights at them to let them know there's an officer ahead, may just get you in a road rage incident as some may read something else into what you're really trying to tell them.

  5. once in a while you see it, but it tends to be someone a little older.
