I flash my headlights to on coming traffic when I see police car hidden, or in the median that is monitoring for speeders. I'm trying to warn them to slow down. But I don't ever see anyone else doing this. Is this a dieing practice? Does anyone still do that? Does anyone care?

  1. Not like they once did, but sometimes.

  2. I know i do, if that helps at all.........im pretty sure my sister jane , friends cindy, dave, and josh, and brother max do too

  3. where I live they still do that.

  4. I've never seen anyone do this. The only people I see flash their headlights is like trucks who let other trucks know it's safe to change lanes in front of them. Also, people flash their highbeams at me all the time cause they think I have mine on, but mine are just really bright.

  5. Yes i do it all the time

  6. where have you been???????

  7. I don't see it as often as I once did. Maybe the younger drivers don't know about the practice of doing it.

  8. I'm sure We care. That's the first time I've heard of that. Good Job.

  9. I don't do it for a few reasons.  You can get a ticket for it here if you are caught.  Also, I would rather see someone stopped and then have to slow down after, instead of driving dangerously and hurting someone.  Way too many people get worse as they go faster.  As I watch the speeder blow past me like I am standing still, I think of the car with small children in it possibly getting creamed and ruining the rest of their lives, and I hope they do get stopped.

  10. some people do

  11. yes when i was driving ing to cookstown someone indicated it to me but i was lost then when i saw the cop then i realized he was telling me there was a cop then i did it to other people

  12. Not around where I live but on a few occasion's heading up north someone would flash the lights at me.  The reason not a lot of people do it anymore is probably since theirs the convenience of having a radar detector to warn you.

  13. People have "saved my life" more than once that way, so I always try to return the courtesy.  --  Thank You, too!

  14. I've never heard of that.  You could probably get ticketed for that.  You only flash at oncoming traffic to warn of  a hazard, and a police car is not a hazard.
