Do people still use boogie boards???????

My son uses his every chance he gets....just wondering if they are still in or have they went out?

I love boogieboarding. Im 14 and i have gotten very good at it.  I can do tricks and even stand up on it.  Its a little easier to do then surfing, but learning how to do tricks is very hard.  I have boarded on a ten foot wave, it is hard.

absolutley, I have one myself. They also have pro boogie boarders...I love the water so if it floats and you can ride it , I will. Boogie boards are sometimes made fun of by the surfers but thats only some of them. just dont let him ride a rubber surfboard and youll be "in"

Yes, but they are more commonly known as bodyboards. The Morey Boogie company was sold to a larger manufacturer several years ago. Now there are dozens of companies that produce bodyboards.

yes, there are pro boogie board events, people make a living out of it, it is just that it is not as good or challenging as standup surfing.
