Do people think Jared from Subway is full of c**p?

Jared is the guy from Subway who lost weight from eating sandwhiches at Subway. But the thing is, he actually lost weight from walking a mile from his house to get to Subway! So I think he's full of it!

  1. for sure! You have to do alot more than just eat Subway sandwiches...it's called exercise..


  2. Walking a couple miles only can do so much. Burning off more calories than you are consuming can help with the weight loss. He probably did other exercise too.

    Eating food from just one place all day, everyday is not a realistic long-term diet.

    It's a marketing gimmick. I eat at Subway every now and then. But I wouldn't go on such a diet.

  5. Yeah, he didn't lose all that weight just by eating Subway. He also exercised. And it's not like all he ever ate was Subway while he was dieting - I'm sure it was just a small part of his diet.

  7. Yeah he is full of it but they want to get a fat normal guy who just happen to lose weight and who just happen to eat at subway a few times. Its subway feeding him his lines anyway so subway is full of c**p he just wants the money they pay him. I mean who is going to believe someone who was really fat and then got totally muscular and shredded from subway that would be unbelievable. Subway call me lol.

  11. Diet and exercise is the combo. Subway was a way so that he had to portion his meals. He exercised too, which sped up the results. So no, it's not entirely fake. He could have lost the weight without exercise, if he wanted to wait about 4 years...but he did exercise so his muscles tightened up...so now he doesn't have a bunch of loose skin.

  12. IT wasn't just the sandwiches he probaly also exercised. But i'm with yah, i rlly used to believe his "accomplishment" was a rip-off, like he lost it some other sneaky way......to this day i'm still unsure.

  13. No, and I don't really care one way or the other what the motivations of a ad character are.

    He weighed 425lbs at first, with that weight you are NOT gonna walk a mile. He lost his first 100lbs from the sandwiches alone, then started walking more (and up stairs). So maybe everything after that was c**p? If anything, the creative director at Subway's Chicago advertising agency is full of c**p.

  15. No way. Jared did what most don't. He ate two veggie subs every day, and he stuck with it. Can you do that? Go ahead and thumbs down me. Thumbs up for Jared. Either way, he has the last laugh. He's making money. :) and we're on yahoo answers. LOL

Well they claimed he ate Subway subs 3 times a day...basically subs without cheese and sauce...so it was meat and bread...he could have made that at home really.  You would think all that bread would make him gain weight.  He must have been exercising like crazy.  But since the introduction of Jared Subway has really cashed in !  But they don't use him in their commercials too much anymore...I wonder if he's gained some weight back.
