Do people use the adoption section very often?

When I 1st tried to ask a question a couple of months ago, no one answered. Now, I'm glad lots of people use this.

well I am glad that I found this particular site because I am deeply affected by both sides of the adoption issue and I have found it has helped me to no end to be able to read both the questions and answers posted here and I check it as regularly as I can and hardly ever look at the other sites on YA

Yes a lot of people use this section.  There are quite a few "regulars" as well as people who don't frequent it as often.  There are AP's, PAP's, adoptees, first parents, and every type of "relationship" to adoption who use this section.  The people are as varied as the opinions and answers you will get.

If you didn't get an answer the first time, try again.  Maybe nobody quite knew how to answer you, or like someone else said, ask during a busier time of day (although that can vary too).

Not sure about people using this category as much, but I have found that asking your questions during more active hours of the day helps with getting more answers.  I always think of things I want to ask really late at night and hardly anyone answers my questions, no matter what category its in.  Aren't there any night owls out there?? LOL :)

It has been a catharsis for me! I'm sorry you didn't get that right off the bat! I'm glad you came back - you have a unique and valuable perspective that is often lacking on boards like these.

As to this board - I'm glad I found it! I check it pretty regularly when I have some spare time or have touble sleeping. It is interesting for me to see people share different opinions, stories, advice, knowledge, ideas and sometimes a bit of humor - even the opportunity to see people's minds open. I enjoy other people's perspectives (most of the time!) and love to be exposed to questions and thoughts I wouldn't have ever begun to think about otherwise! It has been a positive for MY journey for sure!

I have "met" many people on this board for whom I have a great deal of RESPECT, several who have taught me some new things, lots of people in pain for whom I feel both sympathy and empathy, others who have helped hone my own perspetives (and debate/tact skills!), a bunch of folks who have challenged my mind (and a few challenge my tolerance!) and a few (from all sides of the "triad"!) who I consider to be part of my Ohana! :) You guys ROCK! Thank you for everything!

I think it depends on if people know the answer or not.  Or if someone else already gave the answer i would have given, i just give the answerer thumbs up.  Also timing makes a difference wkend vs wkday, i tend to only have a few minutes on wkends to answer questions:)

It really depends on what their looking for.

I know I'm in the adoption section everyday since I am on my journey toars adopting. But other people look in other sections. For example I think I only answer questions from Pregancy&Parents and Family&Relationships. I don't really venture out because I only need help in those two areas.

I'm glad there are a lot of people here too.
