don't you hate when people use yahoo answers to be hella lazy? they ask questions that they could easily google for themselves && get their answer waaaaay faster than waiting on the next person to answer for them.

i.e. how many transfer credits do i need to get into st. john's university?

omg, you're already sitting at the computer, go to google.com type in st. john's university go to admissions and then go to transfer, and look at the transfer requirements. it's easy. if i can do it you can do it.

am i crazy? if i see another question like that i am gonna scream! >:o

  1. LOL!  Too true.

I use it to be lazy more in a time-wasting way.  For example, I'm at work now and procrastinating on the stuff I should be doing.

It is interesting, though, to see just how nasty people can be.  You can ask the most benign question, and still someone will usually tell you you're going to burn in h**l.

  2. I believe it is human nature (if not a culture thing) because it is easier to ask a question (or post a question) and wait for answers rather than do the research or the actual "leg work" itself.

I contribute a lot in Mathematics and Physics and I have noticed that if only they can open their books before making a post, most of their questions can be answered.

But then again, I really think it is easier and MORE CONVENIENT to simply post and wait for answers.

  3. Some questions on are pretty crazy and can easily be found by doing some reasearch. I doubt many people could answer that qeustion above.

  4. Or to do their simple simple homework, because they are too lazy to even think...they just reflexively plug the questions in and wait for someone to give them the answers...

Might actually learn something if they didn't do it this way!  Plus it would generally be quicker!

And, like Steve, I procrastinate by answering questions...I should be cleaning my closets...oh, well.  I'm too busy to do that!  lol.

And, yeah, the POINT of YA is to get opinions and personal experience and answers that just can't be gotten by google, but go into the travel category and check out how many questions there are about the Georgian/Russian situation...WAAAAAY better answers by checking the news!

  5. theyre silly really, wasting points like that. i only ask a question if its ungoogleable or no-one's asked it before. which makes me feel kind of odd, having a problem that no-one else has ever seemed to have.

  6. haha, i'm with stevie, just killing time at work right now

  7. I don't think they're necessarily being lazy. Some people ask easy questions just for entertainment to see the variety of responses they can get. Maybe for the school questions, they're hoping someone who went there can answer it for them.

  8. haha lol i hate those stupid questions some are okay cuz like some websites are retardeed to  =)

    ily

  9. YA

  10. No? Then there would be no point of Yahoo Answers. Google doesn't have all the answers nitwit. Next time try to ask a productive question.
