Do people wear Long Dresses to go to Posh Restaurants?

You can but make sure it isn't too formal ....... a cocktail dress is more appropriate for a posh restaurant ........ long dresses are usually for weddings and more formal events like black tie affairs ........ = )

If it is really posh sure ....Like $250 or more per person.  Or if you are dinning at the Paris Ritz or some place like that.  Long trendy dresses are so now.. so if you wear a long dress people will realize you are just trying to be trendy even if you are a little out of place you will be the it girl.  It is not just about how long it is ... the color and the cut is also very important.  If it is long but on the funky posh funky side ... it is cool...  But long and formal ... yawn!   Bon appetit!  :)

not usually unless black tie is specified. having said that, dont go as if you're shopping at the mall either. something smart is whats required.
