Do people who blindly believe government propaganda irritate you?

Like the war on drugs... Particularly marijuana.

People love to regurgitate government propaganda about marijuana, but most of them no nothing about the history of marijuana or how it came to be illegal in the first place.

Now, I am just using this as ONE example. I am not arguing the legality of marijuana.

We could say the same about seatbelt laws. Shouldn't it be MY choice whether or not to wear a seatbelt in MY car? Is this or is this not my body?

The problem with your seatbelt analogy is that MY insurance has to pay for your decision if you get hurt. If you were ready to accept the consequences of your actions, without insisting on being bailed out when you get in trouble, then I would agree with you. The problem with the seat belt thing - and the marijuana thing - and other issues - is that people don't think things through. It's easy to nod your head and agree with what someone else says, but it's much harder to do a little study and research on your own and form your own opinion, which you can then back up.

I don't believe ANYONE should be told what to do.(Now, I'm not talking about people being able to murder anyone they want..ect.) I'm talking about having a choice to wear a seatbelt or not. I'm all for leagalizing abortion for this reason. It's not the governments place to be able to say weather or not you can keep your kid. I'm also for assisted suicide for the elderly. People deserve the right to die if they going to be a raisin for the rest of their life. I know for sure I wouldn't want to be hooked up to life support for 20 years.

All drugs should be legal. It's your fault if you make the choice to use them and then do something stupid. Marijuana is a cure for some medical issues. If people smoke it, they can be cured. I think it's better for it to be legal and be a curing(sp?) agent then be illegal and have people suffer.

I don't know, maybe I'm just young and iggnorant.

They justify things in broad terms. In seatbelts it's to keep healthcare costs down. In pot it's for highway safety and to reduce crime. When they make you get the mark of the beast it will be for patriotism and anti-terrorism.see antichips.com

no,what bothers me more is how mainstream media is nothing but propaganda- how come no one questions why most magazines,tv/radio shows are owned by a few corporations.

also, there's a type of brain cancer which is fatal and inoperable, you die with in months of being diagnosed with it-but if you smoke marijuana, you can be cured. thc actually attacks the cancer cells and protects the normal brain cells, marijuana is the only neuroprotectant which protects the brain from the effects of stroke,and if marijuana were truly legalized and socially acceptable, 6 of big pharmaceutical companies top selling drugs-would be obsolete
