Just the other day, I got stuck on a two-lane highway behind more than one person who was driving well below the speed limit. The posted speed on this particular stretch is 45 MPH, but these clowns wer obviously doing 35 or lower. This is especially distressing, since this is the main road leading to my house. I even tried honking the horn and flashing the headlights, but often times this doesn't work too well, making the experience more unbearable.

  1. I'm one of those people.. sorry. I do it on the hills only because the windy roads stress me out and I'm always paranoid that I'll hit a biker.

And, if you didn't TAILGATE me so close, I would pull over to a shoulder but you people are to close behind and it makes me nervous to slow down and pull over when I have someone that close to my car. So, if you want me to pull over.. give me some SPACE :)

  2. I get mad when people drive slow, not when they follow the speed limit. Unless there's a road hazard or dangerous weather preventing the driver from following the speed limit, then they should try to be traveling at the speed limit recommended. Going 35mph or slower in a 45mph zone is just ridiculous. If someone is too scared to go above 40, they should just take a bus, cab, or other mode of transportation because they are a danger on the road. It's a common misconception that you can never be going too slow. An officer can ticket you for holding up traffic just as easily as exceeding the speed limit.

  3. Yes it does.  Fortuntately in Ontario pavement marking aren't in the Highway Traffic Act, so you can (legally) pass on a sold line, as long as you don't get in an accident while doing so.

  4. Not really they are just setting an example of watch your speed that their are speed traps in those areas. or the tourist are not famliar with that area and you do the same when you are in their town or area, if you were lost.

  5. Yes it really pisses me off like crazy. Sometimes I think the idiots do it just for the h**l of it. Another thing is people who insist on driving in the left lane on a 4 lane highway while barely doing the speed limit or less. The right lane can be totally deserted so I think they expect drivers that want to move past them to do so in the improper right lane. No wonder why there is so much road rage on the roads with the total idiots that have no respect for other drivers. It's like they think they are the only one on the road or they feel as if they own the freakin roadway. I have never understood why these scenarios are not included on drivers license tests. Not to mention jerks that have NO idea how to use the center left turn lane. Get over COMPLETELY before you reach your intended turn spot.

  6. yeah i hate that. i usually put on my hi beams and tailgate the c**p out on them at night. and during the day i tailgate really close and press the horn. dont let the horn go just HOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO... they usually move after that. and when they move i get in front and drive extremely slow and dont let them pass. yeah im an a*****e!!!!

  7. If the dividing line isn't solid, you can drive to the other side to pass when there isn't oncoming traffic.

But either way, you need to chill out.  You're going to stress  yourself too much and hurt your health.

  8. OMG!! That drive's me nuts.  I live in south east PA and it seems like signage here doesn't exist.  People drive as slow as they want and ignore anyone elses needs on the road.  I was in a 50mph stip and, like almost every day, I got stuck behind sopmeone going 35mph with a huge line of traffic behind.  Refusing to just pull over.

  9. I understand completely where you're coming from. Tonight I was driving from my parent's house on a 5 lane hwy (2 lanes going in each direction and a turning lane). I was stuck behind 2 people who seemed like they were driving side by side (seems 2 me on purpose). Like you the speed limit is 45mph, but I always drive 60mph on this road (and so does everyone else, except these 2 idiots). It seemed like forever till one of them FINALLY sped up so I could pass them. I'm like "OMG! Will one of you please get outta my way!" If you can't tell I suffer from a minor case of road rage =)

  10. Heck yeah that pisses me off!!! When it happens to me I always curse them out in my car to myself.....That makes it a little less upsetting and more funny if you really think about it.

  11. There was like three cars doing about 20 miles an hour an a 45 mile an hour high way and I thought it was so weird and frustrating .I always keep a close eye on these drivers to make sure they are not doing it to get rear ended and blame the rear ender.I have also noticed allot of people not putting on blinkers, weaving in and out of traffic, slowing their vehicles, and no brake lights. My guess is that they are on something.

  12. yes

  13. Yes. But like everything else, what can you do about it.

  14. I hate that...just slow enough to honk you off and just fast enough where passing is difficult.

At least the Amish try to stay to the right and it's easier to pass them!
