And whilst I am at it do Americans in general drink tea at breakfast in preference to coffee. Are some States more tea-drinking than others? Like I believe they have lotsa iced-tea in the Southern States?

  1. the south is all bout some SWEET tea

  2. In the parts of the South I've visited, they have both sweetened and unsweetened iced tea available. Iced tea is only available in my area bottled and sweetened.

  4. i always think that it is just the english and irish drink tea. used to think it since i was little. I no i was wrong but i like to think like that

  5. I think you will find that the southern US does drink more iced tea than other areas.  As for hot tea, well, it is becoming popular in some areas again.

As for myself, I do not drink coffee, but I love tea, and in fact I am sipping from a cup of English tea right now.

  6. i prefer water

  7. The Boston Tea Party was not an actual tea party, but instead Americans dressed up as Indians and dumped English tea into Boston Harbor as a protest against British tea taxes.

You can read more about it here:

  8. I don't think the amount of tea people drink in Boston is a significant number to be recognized or anything. They probably just drink it like a lot of people. Maybe every now and then, maybe everyday, but probably not at a certain time, and they don't make a big deal about it. I think Americans drink more coffee than tea.
