French women are typically obsessive about waxing or shaving...legs...armpits...bikini, etc.  

Guys too! Most French guys I know also shave their armpits, and even some their legs! And a lot their privates!

I have never seen a women with hairy arm in France...the only one you can see it's when you go to Germany...there they dont really shave.

Yes they most certainly do!!!

Of course back in the 60s and 70s when bras were being burnt and all that some didn't.

I don't know where people get the idea from - probably the same place as they get the idea we eat jam or whipped cream with our meat!!! (yes I have been asked that).
