  1. I work with elder people, there is a very good Corega glue on the market that I am pretty sure will stand the water pressure.

I am also a swimmer, and I think there is no problem about it.

Go ahead and Scuba!!!! with no fear, and a good smile!!!

  2. Im a diver there are times when you have problems with your teeth with a cavity i have not heard anything about dentures but ask the instructor about it first

  3. maybe, if it's going to come off easily...

  4. I don't think there should be much trouble with dentures apart from perhaps being a little uncomfortable since you have to lightly bite the regulator the whole time. The DAN article recommended above was GREAT! (I'm printing it to add it to my scuba diving library =P) But focuses more on tooth barotrauma. The example given in the article is about a diver who had a fracture in the tooth where the air would go in and she would feel the squeeze when ascending as the excess air would expand and find it difficult to escape.

I personally do not know much about dentures but would figure that the excess air would have plenty of room to come out. I would recommend ascending slowly and making sure there are no discomforts.

    Above all, ask your instructor.

"Oral Cavity (d.f.) • dentures must be retained in place on fully opening the mouth and not be dislodged by placing jaws together in any position, or by movement of one denture against another.  Dentures should extend to the muco-buccal fold.  If dentures do not satisfy these requirements, they should not be worn while diving."

These are the requirements for a particular Dive Center. The link is posted in my sources

The second source included claims "You do want to consider a mouthpiece molded for your specific situation "

Also from a specific Dive Center

  5. I have heard of potential problems with some dental work for divers, but not specifically with dentures.  Here is a good article from the Divers Alert Network that speaks to dental problems associated with scuba diving:  http://www.diversalertnetwork.org/member...

  6. well...people with dentures can use a full face mask
