  1. Save your money up and buy a performance exhaust.

  2. Yes performance chips do work. However be careful they also void the factory warranty. Gm has issued a TSB that clearly states if ecm (computer) has been modified that they have the right to brand(cancel your warranty) So make sure you vehicle is not under warranty. Yes they will help performance by tricking your ecm to think air is colder coming into engine. This make the engine think air is more dense leaning your engine out and advancing your timing. The problem with that is all those things cause it to run hotter as well and heat creates different problems all in itself. To answer the question yes they work but they don't have to fix your vehicle when it breaks. (you do)

  3. Performance chips work depending on what you want them to do.If your looking for more hp than they have a chip for that. But you wont get better gas mileage.Depending on the vehicle, they also damage other parts.Be careful what you ask for.

  4. Performance chips work, however they do not sell a performance chip. What they sell is a resistor in a fancy looking plastic housing of some sort that tells your computer the air is colder (58 degrees) so it advances the timming a few degrees for a small gain in horsepower when it is warm. When it gets colder you will loose power. Performance chips are not cheap but usually they advance timming, lean your fuel mixture and sometimes increase transmission fluid pressure to make your car shift firmer if it has an automatic transmission and you can benefit 5-10hp and maybe 1-2mpg
