Do pessimists hate optimists and the other way around?

i guess some yes. some simply hate for the sake of argument of having their views dominate over the other

im a pessimist and i hate optimists. i hate people who cant seem to shut up about how great the world is. they make me want to throw up

Now this is a strange thing .... I don't think either 'hates' the other ... but it is possible that they seriously 'irritate' the other for this reason..... pessiimists are generally pessimistic optimists - it might happen but the likelihood is it won't..... optimists are generally optimistic pessimists - by rights it should happen but there is the possibility it won't...... each is a bit too much of an extreme for the other - yet they both have things in common - is the glass half full or half empty?!......

I dislike pessimists yes, but it's only because they seem to complain often and don't focus on the solution.

I'm rather pessimistic and not fond of the fact. I admire optimists.
