Do pets have to be put into confinement for 6th months if you go overseas?

Ok I heard that when you go overseas-to live in another country, that your pets have to be put into confinment or 6th months? is that true? I heard it had something to do with deases or something?

  1. it is called quarantine they hold onto to your pet in a secure place to make sure no transferable , insects, seeds , parasites etc. are let into to the place of destination. in new zealand the country relys on its agriculture and farming exports and they are very strict with their rules, so i hope you understand


  2. I know that's true in many countries... I don't think all countries have that rule, but I know England has a six month quarantine for cats, dogs, and ferrets.
