  1. The messages are stored on the carrier's switch network for about 2 days as they could need to be re-sent if you are roaming or out of the coverage area, but the contents is not saved anywhere permanently.

They do store the header information for billing--  where the message was sent from, where the message was sent to, and the time-stamp.  It's not possible to recover the contents of the message after 2 days---  and even before 2 days is up it would practically take an act of congress to get those carriers to research the data for you.

  2. i think they do have records of your texts message. But i don't know why they would ever have too look  it. unless ur a possible threat like a terrorist or suspected to planning a murder. becuase i've seen things on TRUE shows how they have printed records of texts and stuff between people who were doing something illegal and they use them in Court and stuff.

  3. The answer to your question is yes and no.  It kind of depends on why you're asking.  If someone sends you a picture, you delete it, the sender already deleted it and and you want to know if the phone company can "recover" it for you... the answer is no, they cannot.  If someone sent you a picture or you sent someone a picture and you're worried if it might show-up "in public" some day the answer is yes.  The picture was sent through the internet and was stored temporarily on each server it passed through... where it could be found, copied, distributed and traced (sender and receiver).
